The annual Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections (CROI) began yesterday in Boston. CROI is one of the leading scientific meeting that brings together top basic, translational, and clinical researchers from around the world to share the latest studies, important developments, and best research methods in the ongoing battle against HIV/AIDS and related infectious diseases. EARLY CAREER INVESTIGATOR CORNER

APA is accepting application for the Minority Fellowship Program Psychology Summer Institute. The institute provides educational, professional development, and mentoring experiences to advanced doctoral students of psychology and psychologists who are in the early stage of their careers. Participants are guided toward developing a grant proposal, postdoctoral fellowship, dissertation, treatment program, publication or program evaluation project. Looking for a part time or full time research assistant?

Babak Tofighi has had the privilege to work with Chemi Chemi as a research assistant on several projects since her hiring in July. She's worked closely with him and other co-investigators consenting patients in Bellevue, working with the IRB, conducting individual interviews, qualitative analysis, data entry, and systematic reviews. She has also helped prepare 6 manuscripts for publication. Chemi is a Gates Millennium Scholar recipient and planning to start her MPH degree in August.
